CNPC Jichai is now located in the economic development zone of "Changqing" in Jinan, Shandong. Founded in 1920, CNPC Jichai is one of the earliest manufacturers of diesel engines in China. In 1964, it was transferred from the Ministry of Agriculture to the Ministry of Petroleum Industry. In 1965, the 12V190 diesel engine was independently developed, which filled the gap in China's oil drilling power and became the leading product in this field. In 1988, the first high-power natural gas engine in China was born in Jichai, filling the gap of China's supercharged high-power natural gas engine. In 1996, as the first pilot enterprise of PetroChina, the shareholding system was transformed and Jinan Diesel Engine Co., Ltd. was established. In the same year, it was listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, referred to as "Petroleum Jichai", with the stock code 000617.
After nearly ten years of leapfrog development, CNPC Jichai has now developed into the world's mainstream oil drilling power manufacturer, China's largest R&D and manufacturing enterprise of non-road medium and high-speed medium and high power internal combustion engines, the main supplier of internal combustion engine power generation equipment for important occasions and key projects in China, and the designated supplier of finalized products for China's naval equipment.
CNPC Jichai has passed the certification of quality, health and safety, environmental management system and HSE management system, and has been rated as a 3A-level enterprise of quality reputation by China Association for Quality. CNPC Jichai has the right to formulate 15 national and industry standards, and the National Technical Committee for the Standardization of Reciprocating Internal Combustion and Gas Power Generation Equipment, the Gas Engine Working Group of the National Technical Committee for the Standardization of Internal Combustion Engines, and the Drilling Power Standardization Department of the National Technical Committee for the Standardization of Petroleum Drilling Equipment and Tools are all located in CNPC Jichai.
Over the years, CNPC Jichai has focused on cultivating core technologies with independent intellectual property rights and Jichai characteristics, and has formed three series of product clusters that can be applied to multi-fuel and multi-field land engines, marine engines and gas engines, with a power covering 30-2400kW. CNPC Jichai is now cooperating with Austrian AVL Lister company to develop 140 and 260 bore diesel engines, and will form a new pattern of three series of engines with 140 medium bore high speed, 190 large bore medium and high speed, and 260 large bore medium speed in the near future, with a power range of 30kW-6300kW.
Jichai is one of the "Top 500 Machinery Enterprises in China" in 2009, and its products have won the title of "Well-known Protection". Jichai brand was rated as a famous trademark in Shandong Province, Z12V190B diesel engine won the country's only high-power internal combustion engine gold award, gas engine won the most influential brand in China's gas engine industry, and marine diesel engine was rated as a famous brand product in China's fishing boat, fishing machine and fishing gear industry for consecutive years.
CNPC Jichai products are widely used in oil drilling, marine power, combustible gas utilization, power stations, locomotives, military and other fields, covering the country's oil and gas fields and 32 provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the central government, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and exported to the United States, Japan, Russia, Italy, Indonesia, Singapore, Sudan, Tunisia and other more than 40 countries and regions, forming a diversified market pattern with a wide market field and large market share.
