Trimble brand introduction

Trimble logo

Founded in 1978 in the United States, it is the world's leading provider of high-precision geotechnical integrated solutions, and is in the leading position in the industry in the development and practical application of GPS technology

Founded in 1978, Trimble Navigation has been an industry leader in GPS technology development and practical applications for more than 20 years. With more than $150 million invested over the past 3 years, Trimble has maintained a leading position in mapping technology and integrated positioning technology into our daily lives. With more than 512 registered GPS patents, Trimble is proud to be the cornerstone of its technology and has established a strong market position with advanced and durable features. Today, Trimble's technology plays an irreplaceable role in navigation, precision timing, wireless network synchronization, high-precision geotechnical integrated solutions, precision agriculture, etc.

For many years, Trimble has been working on the development of GPS devices for high-precision continuous operation base stations. The application of new technology makes Trimble's equipment widely used in high-precision applications such as earthquake-plate motion monitoring, subsidence and deformation monitoring, meteorological observation, etc. The emergence of VRS virtual reference station technology has enabled the fixed GPS observation network to provide a variety of services, so that all users who need to locate such as transportation, surveying and mapping, environmental protection, municipal, exploration, and pipelines in the GPS network can be served, which greatly improves the network utilization rate and urban management level.

In 2000, Trimble acquired Spectroscopy Precision, which enabled the company to enhance its mechanical control, mapping, agriculture, high-precision solving, and especially in optical products such as laser products and total stations. In the same year, Trimble's acquisition of TDS Corporation enabled Trimble to become a market leader in data acquisition software, hardware and GIS data acquisition.

In 2003, Trimble established a new joint venture with Nikon Corporation of Japan to design and manufacture optical mapping products, and is responsible for the sales of Nikon optical mapping products outside of Japan. In July, it acquired Applanix of Canada, and successfully entered the field of inertial navigation/GPS combination technology.

Trimble's worldwide presence and unique capabilities enable the company's products to be used in a wide range of applications, including: surveying and mapping, car navigation, engineering and construction, machinery control, asset tracking, agricultural production, wireless communication platforms, and communications infrastructure

Founded in 1978 and headquartered in Sunnyvale, California, Trimble employs 3,600 people in 18 countries around the world. In June 1998, Trimble opened its first representative office in Beijing, China, to provide advanced products and good services directly to Chinese users. With the rapid development of China's economy, Trimble has also grown rapidly in the Chinese market and has become the most powerful leader in the industry. With the growth of users and the increasing variety of products, Trimble has also put forward higher requirements. In September 2005, Trimble established an Asia Pacific Training, Support and Service Center in Shanghai, China, and in August 2007, its first factory in China was grandly opened at No. 311 Fute Middle Road, Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone, Shanghai. Looking forward to the future, Trimble will continue to support China's modernization with its outstanding technology and full enthusiasm.
