kiwi
Shaanxi is the world's largest kiwifruit producing province, both kiwifruit production and planting area, accounting for one-third of the world's total, and one out of every three kiwifruit in the world comes from Shaanxi. Kiwifruit is the second largest fruit industry business card in Shaanxi after apples. The New Zealand kiwifruit, which is now well-known to consumers, is also derived from kiwifruit from Shaanxi.
Zhouzhi and Meixian are the two main kiwifruit producing areas in Shaanxi, where the soil is fertile, the climate is suitable, the rainfall is moderate, and the kiwifruit produced has a strong fragrance, sweet and sour taste. Zhouzhi and Meixian are enriched with 96% of the world's kiwifruit species, and according to the pulp, they include three series: green meat, red meat and yellow meat. Xu Xiang, Hayward and Cuixiang are the representative fruit varieties of green-fleshed kiwifruit, and the red flesh series can be selected with Hongyang, Navel Red and Chu Hong, and Huayou, Jinyan and Zaojin are good yellow-fleshed series fruit species. Among the many varieties, the green meat series Xuxiang kiwifruit is evaluated as "a mixed aroma of citrus, strawberry, melon, pineapple and other fruits", and is the most recommended. The ripening period of kiwifruit is generally in September and October, and it is particularly suitable for purchasing as a specialty of Shaanxi during this period.
It should be reminded that kiwifruit is not easy to store, so it is recommended that diners who take out the fruit for a long time choose a harder fruit and leave it for a period of time until the flesh gradually softens, that is, to achieve the best eating state.
