Watson's

A.S. Watson is Asia's largest retailer of health and beauty products, with more than 230 outlets in Hong Kong and Macau, of which more than 50 have in-store pharmacies, making it the largest pharmacy chain in Hong Kong.

Watsons in Hong Kong has a more distinct personality than in mainland China, with the most common types of stores, as well as health services such as pharmacies, Watsons Health, which has a Chinese medicine clinic in the store; BEAUTIQ by Watsons, a make-up and skincare specialty store for women who are more focused on beauty and service; and WatsonsBaby, a mom and baby store. At present, these three types of stores have not yet entered the mainland market.

In Hong Kong, however, Watsons continued its position as a "pharmacy" when it entered Hong Kong in 1841, with medicines and health products taking up a considerable display area and resident pharmacists. In the Mainland, most of Watson's medicines are composed of seasonal medicines (summer mosquito repellent drugs, etc.) and daily medicines (band-aids, etc.), and the variety is not rich. But at Watsons in Hong Kong, in addition to prescription drugs, you can find most of the drugs on the market here: Chinese medicinal oils, painkiller creams, cardiovascular health, children's medicines, etc. In addition, it is worth affirming that the marketing efforts of Watsons in Hong Kong are relatively small, which is very different from that of the mainland.
