Langham Place
Langham Place is the largest shopping mall in Mong Kok, covering an area of 60,000 square metres and 15 floors. With more than 200 stores in the mall, the brand is positioned as young and trendy, making it one of the must-visit shopping malls in Hong Kong for young consumers.
The design of Langham Place shopping mall is unique. As the iconic façade of Langham Place, the megalith façade was designed by the renowned American firm Jerde International Architects and is made of Brazilian ore. THE HAPPY MAN is a bronze sculpture standing at the main entrance of the mall, from the "Sumer Series" No. 26 by American sculptor Larry Bell. Elevators in the mall run through different areas of the mall, making it easy for visitors to reach the high-rise shops. The digital canopy hanging on the top floor of the Tsuten Plaza is the focal point of Langham Place. All kinds of trendy images are played in turn, which makes people dazzled and overwhelmed.
Langham Place is aimed at young consumers, so most of the malls are young fashion brands such as double-park, STAYREAL, i.t., etc., and the first store in Asia of fashion womenswear brand Monki has also chosen Langham Place for its first store in Asia. The first floor of the mall is a beauty area, with a dazzling array of various beauty brands, which can meet the consumption needs of low, medium and high grades. On the basement floor is the boutique supermarket Market Place by Jasons, which is directly connected to the Mong Kok MTR.
Langham Place is often overcrowded, and long queues are common. Especially on weekends and holidays, it is crowded with tourists from the mainland and even from all over the world. The shopping environment is noisy, and the service of the clerks is inevitably inconsiderate. In addition, due to the high flow of people, tourists are also reminded to pay attention to their belongings to avoid theft.
