Experiential Programs - Institutional Reviews

overview
Tired of walking, eating, drinking? Joining a hands-on experience is sure to make your trip to Hong Kong even better. An experience is different from a mere tour, and it can touch other senses in your body or mind in a variety of ways. Coming to Hong Kong is not only about eating, shopping and shopping, but also the experience programs we recommend will definitely not disappoint you.
Broadway Cinematheque
Opened in 1996, the Broadway Cinematheque is a landmark of Hong Kong's alternative film culture. Beijing Broadway Cinematheque is the first arthouse cinema on Broadway in Hong Kong in mainland China.
The Broadway Cinematheque regularly holds a variety of film festivals, including the "Hong Kong Asian Film Festival", "Hong Kong Korean Film Industry", "Hong Kong French Film Industry", "Hong Kong Gay Film Festival" and so on. Fan activities and sharing sessions are also held from time to time.
The Broadway Cinema Line has movies in all major and small cinemas in Hong Kong, but for an authentic Broadway cinema experience, we only recommend the Broadway Cinematheque, located next to the Yau Ma Tei Police Station. The equipment of the cinema center is not advanced, but the atmosphere is the best. In the window at the door, there are media reports of recently released movies, attracting many members of the public to stop and read. The first floor of the cinema is a ticketing hall, of course, you can also choose to use the ticket vending machine to purchase tickets, and the most convenient is to pay with Octopus.
On both sides of the ticket hall, there is a bookstore called Kubrick, a light food store and a film and television store, and the style of the shop is very much in line with the literary atmosphere of the film center. There are a lot of CDs of old movies sold in the studio. There are also limited edition movie posters. If you are a movie lover, the Broadway Cinematheque is worth recommending.

Dialogue in the Dark
It is a place to experience the life of blindness. Opened in 2010, the Hong Kong Dialogue in the Dark Experience is currently the largest audience in Asia. Similar experience centers have been set up in Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Chengdu, but the Hong Kong version of the blind experience program is richer and more comprehensive.
The experience is very simple, and the visitor is taken into a completely dark arena, where they cannot see anything even with their eyes wide open, just like a blind person. The only thing you can rely on in the dark arena is the blind cane and the docent. The docents of the Dialogue in the Dark Experience Center are all blind people, and under their leadership, the experiencers will experience life as "blind". The experience includes visiting the park, going to the supermarket, taking a boat, crossing the street, watching a movie, ordering food at a café, etc. Feel the world of the blind through real experience. Almost everyone who experienced it was deeply touched after the experience.
In addition to the more basic dialogue experience in the dark, the experience hall also customizes the dark experience for couples and families. It is also recommended to have a secret night party, as the name suggests, the experiencer should taste the food in the dark. In addition, there will be experience programs such as secret birthday parties and secret fun.

Black box theatre is a special form of theatrical expression. The auditorium seats are controlled to about 100 seats, and the seats are freely chosen by the audience, and there is no restriction on the number of seats. The stage is set parallel to the auditorium, and there is almost no distance between the audience and the actors, and sometimes the audience is invited to participate in rehearsals and performances, which is unique and interactive, which can be called the most immersive drama experience.

Black Box Theatre is a small theatre owned by the Hong Kong Repertory Theatre, which is favored by drama lovers for its flexible expression techniques and continuous exploration of new artistic frontiers. Ngong Ping 360 Cable Car, Ngong Ping Market
Po Lin Monastery and the Big Buddha in Ngong Ping are well-known attractions that attract countless tourists every year. The MTR Corporation Limited also built a tour crane system to connect to Tung Chung, known as Ngong Ping 360, which was commissioned in 2006.
Hailed as one of the world's top 10 best cable car experiences, the Ngong Ping Cable Car is the longest twin-cable car in Asia with a distance of 5.7 kilometres in one direction and a one-way ride of 25 minutes. Ngong Ping 360 is the starting point for experiencing Lantau Island, where you can get a bird's-eye view of Lantau Island and see planes take off or land every few minutes at Hong Kong International Airport. Ride the Ngong Ping 360 cable car at dusk and have the opportunity to watch the sunset. Tickets can be purchased on-site and are cheaper than buying tickets online.
The Ngong Ping 360 cable car ends directly at Po Lin Monastery and the Big Buddha, and the Ngong Ping Market is actually a tourist area commercial street that sells all kinds of tourist souvenirs. Ngong Ping Village's multimedia program "Walking with Buddha" recommends the experience, which depicts the life of Shakyamuni, the founder of Buddhism, in the form of cartoons, combined with lighting and scenery. After the end of the film, the participants will enter the Buddhist space under the guidance of the staff, and the experiencer will hold paper leaves, fold their hands and make a wish, and finally put it into the automatic wishing table, this modern Buddhist cultural experience is very worthy of Buddhists to experience in person.
