Hyatt Regency Hotel has been settled in Xi'an as early as 1990, when it was the Hyatt Regency Afang Palace Hotel in Xi'an, and has a glorious history, in 1992 Emperor Akihito of Japan visited China, came to Xi'an to stay in Hyatt Afang Palace. By 2011, Hyatt Regency was withdrawn from the management of foreign hotel brands, temporarily leaving the big stage of Xi'an's hotel industry. In 2016, Hyatt returned to Xi'an, this time with its roots in Qujiang Pond and its back to Qujiang Pond Heritage Park.
Like the nearby Gran Meliá Hotel, the Hyatt Regency is a resort hotel located in the heart of the city, close to Gemdale Plaza, Intime and Golden Eagle Department Store, allowing guests to enjoy the pleasure of shopping while staying at the hotel and enjoying the resort life in the bustling business district. Despite being located in the heart of the city's bustling city, the hotel is not close to the roadside, so the hotel has a rare comfort and tranquility, which is quite hidden in the city.
The design of the hotel is designed by Yang Bangsheng, the founder of YANG Hotel Design Group, and integrates the cultural background of the Tang Dynasty and the garden-style architectural style. The lobby is two stories high, with a wider view and an open atmosphere. The decoration of the hotel mainly revolves around four themes: Tang Dynasty, Silk Road, Landscape, and auspiciousness, and the palace-style architecture highlights the majesty of the Tang Dynasty. China refers to the lobby bar of the hotel, which is in the center, Persia refers to the north side of the lobby, and the Italian guide side. Shanshui refers to the central pool in the lobby, surrounded by Chinese, Persian and Italian. In terms of auspiciousness, the designer chose pomegranate as a mascot, meaning more children and more blessings, and pomegranate elements can be seen everywhere in the hotel, such as gardens, carpets, and a pair of copper pomegranate sculptures are displayed in the elevator hall on the first floor.
The theme of the guest rooms also adopts pomegranate elements as one of the theme styles, with 298 rooms, divided into guest rooms, suites and parent-child rooms. There are three theme styles, namely pomegranate, more than one year and more than one year and satisfactory, and the rooms with different theme styles are basically the same in terms of specifications and configurations. It is a fun experience for guests to guess the style of the room they are staying in by using the pattern on the room number board outside the room. The rooms are small, about 50 square meters, all with balconies, and there are coffee tables and chairs outside the balcony for guests to sit on and look at the distant scenery. The Deluxe Room is recommended, with floor-to-ceiling glass windows on both walls in the cloakroom, which uses the principle of mirror reflection to make the visible space larger and more transparent. Unlike other hotel rooms with full carpets, Hyatt rooms have wooden floors for a more premium look.
The hotel's recreational facilities are basically complete, including a swimming pool, spa and 24-hour fitness center. The swimming pool covers an area of 275 meters and the pool is huge. The spa has 8 suites and relaxation areas with professional spa therapists. The 24-hour fitness center is small, and the fitness equipment brand is American LifeFitness, with advanced equipment. Although Hyatt itself is positioned as a resort hotel, it is actually more inclined to a business hotel, and its vacation function is not prominent, and it needs to be further strengthened and improved.
Although the hotel has only two restaurants, it is famous for its dining and dining facilities, and many local residents come to dine, and the seating rate is high. The all-day dining restaurant Market Cafe offers buffet food, the Chinese restaurant "Lakeside" is more distinctive, and in terms of design and decoration, a large number of moon arches, ceramic vases and Chinese lanterns are used to move the garden into the restaurant. The hotel's Regency Club Club Lounge offers an abundance of food and a fine selection of happy hour food for in-house guests.
