Opened in 2010, Hantangyi Youth Hostel is one of the earliest hostels in Xi'an. Tucked away in an alley in the heart of the city called "Nanchang", the hostel is a veritable place to retreat from the hustle and bustle.
The bar is a major feature of Han Tang Station. The bar is located in the lobby on the first floor of the hostel. The decoration style combines Chinese and Western characteristics, the walls and ceilings are covered with posters, the walls are hung with portraits of foreign characters and violins, and local elements such as folding fans and ladies' terracotta figurines can be seen everywhere. The bar is more like a clear bar and not too noisy. The bar offers a variety of snacks, drinks and simple Western meals. In addition to the bar, the hall is also divided into a book bar, billiards area, and movie space, which is a good place for residents to relax and entertain.
Hantangyi has a very high occupancy rate of foreign guests. All signs at the hostel are marked in English, and maps of Xi'an and descriptions of tourist attractions are available in English. Due to the large number of foreign guests, the hostel's activities are generally based on the theme of learning about Chinese culture, such as dumpling banquets, mahjong classes, calligraphy courses, and activities for 100 people to climb the city wall.
The room in Han Tang Yi was a bit disappointing. The hostels are varied, but they don't have much character. Multi-bed rooms are co-ed, and the cabinets are not locked, and the security needs to be improved. Compared with most hostels, the only advantage of Hantangyi multi-bed room is that it has its own independent bathroom, but the bathroom space is cramped and inconvenient to use. The other rooms are more fully equipped with a kettle, drinking glasses, slippers and a TV than the multi-bed rooms. The fly in the ointment is that the room area is very small, most of them are no more than 18 square meters, and the room price is between 200 yuan / night and 320 yuan / night, which is not much different from the express hotel, and the cost performance is low.
The property offers airport pick-up service, taxi hailing and tourist information, as well as postcard delivery. If you have valuables, you can store them in the safe at the front desk, and if you check out, you can also leave your luggage at the hostel. Although the location of the hostel is difficult to find, it is conveniently located and surrounded by many dining and entertainment facilities.
