Huaqing Palace is located in the Lintong District of Xi'an, adjacent to the Terracotta Warriors. Huaqing Palace is formed by the merger of two scenic spots, Lishan Forest Park and Huaqing Pond, and implements a one-ticket system. Huaqing Pond has a history of thousands of years of royal garden architecture, Zhou, Qin, Han and Tang dynasties have built a palace garden here, so there are many emperors and generals who have resorted here to recuperate, among which the most commonly mentioned are Tang Xuanzong and Yang Guifei.

Located halfway up Lishan Mountain, the Bingjian Pavilion is the most famous scenic spot in the Huaqing Palace about the Xi'an Incident. With the change of the times, the name of the Bing Ji Pavilion has also changed many times, from the original Zhengqi Pavilion to the Jiang Ting to the current Bing Ji Pavilion, which is actually the history of the change in the relationship between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party. At the time of the Xi'an Incident, Chiang Kai-shek lived in the five halls of the Huaqing Palace, and all the items in each room and office, from tables, chairs, beds, sofas, to telephones, stoves, tea sets, etc., were copied and placed according to the original appearance. Bullet holes in the windows and bullet marks on the walls can take visitors back to the night of the war.

Since 2007, Huaqing Palace will launch the dance drama "Song of Long Hatred" from April to October every year, which has received countless praises as soon as it was launched, and has become a must-see project in Huaqing Palace. "Song of Long Hatred" takes the love story of Tang Xuanzong and Yang Guifei as the main line, and uses Huaqing Lake Jiulong Lake as the stage to reproduce the prosperity of the Tang Dynasty. The production team invests heavily every year, and the costumes of the characters are exquisite and exquisite, but it does not overshadow the limelight of the actors' dancing and performances. "Song of Long Hatred" combines dance performance with high-tech means, using lighting, music and scene setting to create magnificent scenes such as magnificent palace buildings and starry skies. It takes Lishan Mountain as the curtain, and the searchlight reflects the three words "Long Hate Song" on the mountain, which many tourists are deeply shocked.

The current Huaqing Palace is not a historical monument, but is renovated on the basis of the original Huaqing Pond Hot Spring Palace. Despite this, the imitation Tang style palace complex still looks magnificent, but after the renovation, the colors are too bright and slightly tacky. Several baths have long since dried up, but the history of hot spring bathing in Huaqing Pond has been preserved, and the materials are now preserved in the Huaqing Palace Imperial Hot Spring Site Museum. Five groups of soup pools have been unearthed in the ruins of the imperial soup, such as Xingchen soup, lotus soup, begonia soup, prince soup and Shangshi soup, which is the only group of royal soup pond ruins found in China.
