Huaiyu - Merchant Reviews

Huaiyu is a Japanese restaurant in Changsha that specializes in "kaiseki cuisine". Positioning high-end catering, there are also celebrities coming to the store from time to time, and the per capita consumption is more than 400 yuan.

Huaiyu Restaurant has an excellent environment, and the indoor and outdoor landscaping are excellent. The door of the store is composed of wooden doors, warm curtains, stone lamps, green plants and other elements, which is very special compared to the surrounding environment. The interior floor, stairs, sliding doors, tables and chairs are all wooden, and the decoration design basically copies the Japanese-style room layout. Huaiyu Restaurant has two floors, including two iron plate private rooms, six ordinary private rooms, and a large private room for 10 people on the first floor. The restaurant uses the private room on the first floor as a sushi bar and also as an "izakaya", and the style is mixed and matched. Any part of the restaurant can be a great backdrop for selfies. In addition, each private room is equipped with a mobile phone selfie light, and the waiters are also eager to take pictures of diners.

In addition to praising the environment, Huaiyu also has a lot of slots. The kaiseki course served in the store includes four seasons: spring and flowers, summer and lotus rain, autumn and yoshisen, and winter and dragon moon. In fact, these courses are only different from the name and the dish, and have little to do with seasonality. The set menu includes American Wagyu beef, Spanish ham, Australian lobster, and more, and is more of a borderless course than a kaiseki meal. The waiter's explanation for a dish called "molecular cuisine" is that it is a mixture of milk and coconut milk that breaks the form of the ingredients and becomes a molecular cuisine, but the taste of this "molecular cuisine" is no different from milk foam, which is very nonsensical. In addition, dry ice is used extensively in the dishes to create a cloudy atmosphere, but it does not actually enhance the taste of the food itself.

Huaiyu's service was too violent. Change a pair of chopsticks for each dish, and the sense of ceremony is slightly exaggerated. The waiter refills the water too often, and goes into the private room many times to confirm whether the dishes are finished, which is easy to make diners feel disturbed. Waiters have little knowledge of the dishes and ingredients, and are full of loopholes in introducing and answering diners' questions.

*Encyclopedia of Knowledge:

A common routine of high-end Japanese restaurants in China.

1) High per capita high profile. "Our per capita consumption is in the Nth digits, and it is the most expensive in the city." "All our ingredients are airlifted from Japan, and even the water is imported from Japan." "The food utensils eaten in the store are so-and-so yakiniku that have been retrieved from Japan after several twists and turns, and this is the only one in the world." "All the materials used in the decoration are from Japan, and the small items in the store are also brought back by the owner from Japanese flesh, and each one is a treasure."

2) The decoration pretends to be low-key. Located in a corner of the bustling district, it is only for you to "find your own peace in the bustling market" and create a high wind and bright festival hidden in the city. The façade is very inconspicuous, with a low-key temperament of "easy to miss if you don't pay attention". "Being in the upper echelons, the location is very difficult to find", which whetted the appetite of diners. Tatami mats, folding screens, warm curtains, bar counters, and Japanese-style paintings, all the Japanese elements imaginable.

3) Swipe the screen and praise is flying all over the sky. "It's so delicious that it's flying", "It's definitely a three-Michelin star", "You can eat the best Japanese food, there is no one", "It's the only one in the city", "The star arrives".

4) The plating, lighting, and atmosphere are all ready, and feed your phone first.

5) The name of the dish is meant to make you unintelligible. Wakayama bluefin tuna, palace-grade almond tofu, magic sauce, gifts from the forest, pets in cages......
