Marco Polo Wuhan Hotel - Institutional Reviews

Opened in 2008, Marco Polo Wuhan is a long-established five-star hotel in Wuhan. Since its establishment, Marco Polo has consistently ranked among the most occupied hotels in Wuhan due to its prime location on the banks of the Yangtze River.

There are many attractions near the hotel, and there are many ways to play. The hotel is close to Hankou Jiangtan Park and Jiangtan Wharf, and visiting the park and cruising the Yangtze River at night is an indispensable leisure activity for guests. The hotel is close to Li Huangpi Road, which is famous for the gathering of buildings of the Republic of China, some of which have great origins, such as the former residence of Song Qingling, the former residence of Zhan Tianyou, and the address of the 87 Conference. There are many exhibition halls near the hotel, such as Wuhan Mass Art Museum and Hubei Electric Power Museum, among which Wuhan Museum and Wuhan Science and Technology Museum are more suitable for children, the latter has a children's exhibition hall, mainly for children aged 3 to 8 years old, and a play area for children aged 1 to 3 years old. The hotel is surrounded by an abundance of dining options and shopping malls, and is just a 10-minute walk from Jianghan Road Pedestrian Street, the longest pedestrian street in China.

In addition to the abundant attractions in the surrounding area, the hotel also offers a number of parent-child programs for families. Piccolo Kids Club is a Marco Polo Kids Club for children aged 3-12 years old. Set up safety and fire protection courses, popular science fire knowledge, etc. Every Sunday, the hotel hosts themed cooking classes, which are varied and different each week, including cream cakes, cupcakes, sushi and more.

In terms of basic room conditions, the hotel has a total of 356 rooms and suites, most of which are river-view rooms. Although the hotel does not have parent-child theme rooms, baby cots are provided free of charge, and special bathrobes, slippers and toiletries are prepared for each guest, and snacks and graffiti kites are given as check-in gifts. In consideration of children's bathing hygiene, additional bathtubs are prepared in the bathrooms of the hotel, and children's toilet washers are placed in the toilets.

There are also some obvious shortcomings in the hotel, and aging facilities are a common problem for established hotels, and Marco Polo Hotel is no exception. Although it is a parent-child hotel, compared with Primus Hotel Hannam Greenland and Hilton Optics Valley, there are not many parent-child facilities in the hotel, and it is difficult to meet the needs of families. The hotel is also a little lacking in details, such as the TV in the room does not have a children's station, the restaurant does not provide children's meals, etc.

Reference room rate: from 800 yuan/night
