In 2015, a group of people from different industries came to Jinyun Mountain with the intention of converting a dilapidated bungalow into a homestay. In just three years, Jinyun Xiaozhu has become the oldest and most well-known homestay brand in Chongqing. Relying on the brand effect of Xiaozhu, the founding team has successively built youth hostels, single-family villas, courtyards, art private restaurants and other projects based in Jinyun Mountain, and also cooperated with local farmhouses in Jinyun Mountain to meet the accommodation needs of different customer groups. In the current situation that Chongqing B&B is still operated by individuals and seems to be "independent", the scale and management of Jinyun Xiaozhu can be said to be unparalleled.
The small house is a three-courtyard house facing the valley, with two buildings, a row of bungalows, and a viewing platform extending into the valley in the middle, and the courtyard is paved with stones. The bungalow, converted from a farmhouse, retains its original appearance, with yellow earthen walls, wooden doors and windows, fabric sofas, wooden tables and flowers, and is used as a café and handicraft workshop. The two small white buildings contain a tea room, a reception center, guest rooms and other areas, among which there is a natural rock in the tea room that crosses the house from the outside to the house, the designer did not find this stone occupying nearly one-third of the tea room an eyesore, but placed two rattan chairs in front of the window for viewing the view.
Xiaozhu currently has 10 rooms, the room area is not large, there are also not many furnishings and accessories, and the bed and seat with log design exudes a simple temperament. The toiletries are made of Ou Sudan's suit, and the quality is guaranteed; A wooden carbon toothbrush has also opened up the gap with ordinary homestays in terms of grade. All rooms have a terrace facing the valley with a changing view of Jinyun Mountain. As the name suggests, the three rooms of Songtao, Starry Sky and Shiyu have their own unique landscapes, and the interior has more design elements such as skylights, duplex structures, additional bathrooms, and tea rooms than ordinary rooms. Pets are allowed at check-in, and an extra bed can be requested.
It should be noted that although floor heating and water heaters are installed, the heating effect is not good, and the temperature on the mountain is low, so friends staying in winter had better prepare more warm clothes; At the same time, because it was rebuilt from an earthen house, the sound insulation effect of the rooms in the store is poor, and you can often hear the sound of people walking in the next room or on the first floor.
Room prices start from 598 yuan per person and go up to 980 yuan per night, and may rise by 100 to 200 yuan on holidays. In addition, the accommodation also accepts private reservations, the price starts from 7800 yuan, and can accommodate up to 24 people.
In terms of meals, in addition to a breakfast included in the accommodation, you can also choose to eat at the affiliated "Kozumi Zhuan Mountain". This restaurant, which opened in mid-2018, adopts the form of no menu pairing, and the chef selects seasonal mountain ingredients to eat, which is divided into two grades: 79 yuan/person and 158 yuan/person, and the degree of refinement is not comparable to the farmhouse dishes attached to ordinary homestays. At present, Jinyun Accommodation only accepts reservations from the official account.
