Songtang Annex-Institutional Reviews

Songtang Villa is an antique inn located in the ancient city of Changzhou, with an antique decoration that matches the style of the ancient city. The design of the inn is excellent, combining the classical charm of a Chinese courtyard with a modern sense of design, and the many details of the arrangement incorporate local elements. In addition, the Songtang Annexes are not far from the Dazu Rock Carving Scenic Area, which is the choice of many tourists for their travel accommodation. Overall, Songtang Villa is not only full of ancient atmosphere, but also has full regional characteristics, where visitors can deepen their understanding of the ancient city of Changzhou.

The main building of the inn adopts the traditional Chinese house structure, using local sand, bamboo, glass and steel, which is antique. Guests are immersed in it as if they are living in an ancient courtyard. The Songtang Courtyard is designed as a setback, which not only has a stepped high and low stack, but also has a tendency to retreat to one or more directions. This allows for more light to enter the building, allowing for unobstructed views, allowing the room to enjoy daylight and views no matter where it is located. Songtang Villa is adjacent to the Sexi River, surrounded by green grass, and you can enjoy the natural scenery from the room.

The Songtang Annex, with a Chinese-style courtyard layout, is a three-storey building that wraps around two courtyards, divided into a front hall and a backyard. There are two neat rows of tall stone pillars piled up at the entrance of the inn, which are made of broken stone left by the transformation of the Dazu stone carving scenic spot, which is quite imposing. In the center of the vestibule is a pond with bamboo rafts, zithers and stone platforms scattered around, and rattan suspending old wooden boats in the air of the courtyard, and decorated with moss and gravel. The calm water responds to the suspended boats, and the rough wood corresponds to the smooth stone, which is in strong contrast. The classic charm reflects the modern sense of design, which is very unique, and the first-time customers are all impressed. Although the design of the foyer is a mix of elements, the color palette is consistent, the layout is reasonable, and it is not cluttered. The design of the backyard is relatively simple, with poems and calligraphy and paintings displayed in the corridors around it, long tables and inkstones placed in the middle of the open space, and bamboo lamps hanging in the air. Calligraphy and painting are the works of Changzhou calligraphy and painting lovers, depicting the old events and scenery of the ancient city, and the long tables and bamboo lampshades are made by local elders. Guests can watch carefully, feel the local people of the ancient city of Changzhou, and add fun to the journey.

The exterior décor is stunning, while the interior design is modest, with clean and spacious rooms and a modest style that doesn't have much to offer. There are a total of 42 guest rooms in the Songtang Annex, which are divided into tea room, Zen heart room, Xi living room, etc., which are decorated with calligraphy and painting, futon, Zen whisk, tea set and pottery, etc., which fit the theme of the room and are quite interesting. In addition to the guest rooms, the Songtang Annexes has an ebony art exhibition business hall and a multi-purpose hall, which houses Dazu stone carving artworks, Zen Taoist scriptures, ebony hand-carvings, etc., similar to a small local museum. Guests can dine at the restaurant bar in the inn, the ingredients used are from the surrounding vegetable and fruit base, and the menu is based on Dazu local dishes, which is delicious and worth a try.

Songtang Villa is located in the downtown area of the ancient city of Changzhou, about 20 minutes' drive from the popular scenic spot Dazu Rock Carvings. The ancient city of Changzhou is themed on the style of the Song Dynasty, and there are scenic spots such as the Changzhou Mansion, the Chinese Culture Museum, and the Embroidery Building. The Dazu stone carving is one of the eight major grottoes in the world, it is a religious cliff stone carving cluster in the late Tang Dynasty and early Song Dynasty, with more than 100,000 statues of Buddha, Confucianism and Taoism, with exquisite carving skills and high artistic appreciation value. If you have more time, you may want to play together.

The room rate for a single night in Songtang Villa is between 250 yuan and 600 hundred yuan, and it can be booked on Ctrip, Tongcheng, Qunar and other platforms.
