Daci Temple Zen Tea Hall-Business Reviews

The Daci Temple Teahouse is located in the Daci Temple, which has a history of 1,000 years, and is said to have originated in the Tang Dynasty and is now known as the Zen Tea Hall. The Zen teahouse is very different from the ancient teahouse, but it is the style of the old teahouse in Chengdu. The quaint temples and open-air teahouses in the Buddhist scriptures have the atmosphere of the old Chengdu leisure market, as well as a bit of Zen, and there is an endless stream of tea guests and tourists.

Dozens of tables and chairs are lined up in the Zen tea hall, scattered in the open inner courtyard, and also placed in the open space of the hall. The configuration of the Zen teahouse is roughly the same as that of the old teahouse, with chairs that are common bamboo chairs, and the armrests and backrests become shiny after sitting for a long time. A few of the seats were too old, crunched, and not stable enough. The tables are all small square tables with black lacquer, and the bottom of the teapot is stamped on the tabletop, which some customers think is a sign of time, while others think it is not hygienic.

The store chose the Gaiwan tea brewing scheme, and there are only four kinds of tea, namely Huamaofeng, Sumaofeng, Zhuyeqing and Bitan Piaoxue, with prices ranging from 15 yuan to 30 yuan, the price is not high, but it has experienced many price increases. After ordering tea, the waiter will give a bag of tea leaves, and the customers will find their own place to make tea and pour water by themselves. Like most open-air teahouses, the tea in the Zen Tea Hall is average, and most of the older local tea drinkers come here to spend their time, and they don't pay much attention to the quality of the tea. Most of the Chengdu teahouses require a cup of tea, and the Zen tea hall is no exception, and some customers who accompany others but do not like to drink tea must also have a cup of tea.

Because it is located in a temple, the teahouse prohibits tea guests from smoking, playing cards, and carrying meat food, which is much quieter than teahouses such as Yuelai Tea House and Heming Tea House. However, during the peak period, there are many customers and the conversation is loud, and a few customers are not used to the noise of this old teahouse. The Zen Tea Hall sells snacks such as melon seeds and peanuts, and provides meals such as somen noodles, bean curd, and cold noodles, all of which are 10 yuan a piece, and the taste is acceptable. Among them, the bean curd rice is a special snack in Chengdu, the bean curd is smooth and tender, with a spicy sauce, which is different from the sweet bean curd in South China, and is mostly liked by tourists.

Located in the Taikoo Li business district, Daci Temple is a stark contrast between the bustling commercial streets and the quiet temples. Young people dressed in trendy clothes, older tea drinkers, and curious tourists sit together in the tea hall, although the tea is not a good tea, the experience is a good experience.
