Beans Solo Coffee is a coffee restaurant of less than 10 square meters, and there are only two or three high stools placed at the bar for customers to sit and take a break while drinking coffee, which is not suitable for three or five people to chat and gather. Beans Solo Coffee is a standard boutique café with no other drinks than coffee, snacks and cakes. Despite this, because of the good taste and cost-effectiveness of the coffee, there are still many customers who come to the store every day to take away coffee.
On the right side of the door, there is an imitation Chinese medicine cabinet, divided into 30 small compartments, and the grid is a transparent drawer to store different kinds of single coffee beans, and coffee beans are sold in various production areas, with a wide variety. On the handle of the drawer hangs a name tag of the self-roasted coffee beans, which records information such as variety, origin, altitude and flavor. To the right of the bar is a coffee bean display where guests can smell the beans to choose their favorite flavor. All kinds of coffee in the store can be made with single beans, and customers can choose the type of coffee bean and drink.
Our shop is also different from other shops in terms of coffee making. The store gave up the ordinary extraction pot and chose the Japanese Oceanrich S2 rotary hand-poured extraction filter cup, which accelerated the extraction through the automatic rotation of the filter cup, saving time, but the coffee taste was not stable enough. Making a latte is not about extracting and whipping at the same time, the barista extracts the espresso in advance and stores it in a jar for later use, and when necessary, takes it out and whips it with fresh milk. This not only minimizes the taste error of each latte, but also shortens the coffee making time, which can be described as killing two birds with one stone.
Beans Solo Coffee is owned by the same owner as Shui Wei Xiang Café in Zhen Lane, and both have similar styles, both are specialty coffee restaurants with a focus on take-out, but they are independent and have no affiliation. Beans Solo Coffee opened at the end of 2018, and although it was later than Shuiweixiang, it has gained popularity in a short period of time due to its location at the entrance of Xinjie. The two stores have a barista shift system, and there is no problem of coffee taste difference. However, in addition to coffee, Shuimi Xiang also sells home-baked bread such as croissants and doughnuts, so it's also worth a visit.
