As the name suggests, OMBRA Lake Ying No. 56 Restaurant, located on the shores of Jinji Lake in Ligong Causeway, has an excellent view of the lake. In 2018, in the first Suzhou Catering Annual Awards by the English media "That's", OMBRA won the three titles of Best Restaurant of the Year, Best Modern Western Restaurant of the Year and Best Chef of the Year.

OMBRA的部分厨师团队出自于上海负有盛名的西餐厅Mr&Mrs Bund,这家擅长经典法餐的餐厅曾在2015年跻身全球最佳50餐厅榜单。Mr&Mrs Bund的部分经典菜式也在经过改造后搬进了OMBRA的菜单,比如Stone-grilled cod、番茄水牛芝士沙拉、鹅肝慕斯等。餐厅设单点菜单与套餐菜单,套餐选择丰富。

汤品中的奶油牛肝菌汤广受好评,上层奶油冰凉,下层汤汁烫口,鲜明的两极口感相撞,兼有橄榄油及菌菇香味,细腻浓醇,但吃口稍稍易腻。法式洋葱汤、匈牙利牛肉汤、龙虾卡布奇诺等,出品稳健不易出错,但食材的自然鲜味稍欠。沙拉口味中规中矩,值得一提的是与Mr&Mrs Bund同款的番茄水牛芝士沙拉,这道沙拉带有显著的罗勒风味,如果对其味道接受度不高,建议直接避开。餐厅会在前菜后呈上水果雪芭,以之清洗味蕾,迎接主菜。

OMBRA's steaks are generally thin, the meat quality is unsatisfactory, the heat is not stable enough, and the overall presentation effect is average; It should be noted that the Black Label Tomahawk Steak is divided into two parts: 750 grams and 1500 grams, the former is served whole, and the latter is grilled in pieces and has been cut and served ready. OMBRA'S DESSERTS ARE NOT LACKING IN HIGHLIGHTS, SUCH AS THE CHOCOLATE OPERA CAKE, A CHOCOLATE FILLING MADE WITH MILK, WHIPPED CREAM AND MELTED CHOCOLATE IN AN INSULATED WATER. The red velvet cake is not far behind, the cake has a low density, loose and moist, and a velvety delicate taste, but for those who don't like sweets, this cake is a little sweeter.

OMBRA Restaurant is located in Li Gong Dike, located in a deep location, directly facing the lake, with a fairly open lake view by the window on the first floor, and an outdoor view by the lake. The second floor is low in height, and the view from the window is narrow, which is slightly oppressive. The dining table is close to each other, and the privacy is a little lacking. The service is warm and meticulous, and actively solves problems, without additional service charges.
