The Children's Club of California, commonly known as CKC, was co-founded by a couple who had returned from Silicon Valley. CKC was founded in Ruihe Yena, Nanshan District, and is sought after by surrounding parents, but this CKC is actually an early education and does not have the qualification to run a kindergarten, and the Four Seasons Landscape Garden in Meilin, Futian District is a qualified formal kindergarten.
CKC Four Seasons Landscape Kindergarten is located in the northwest of the first phase of the Four Seasons Landscape Garden Community, covering an area of about 1805 square meters, with an outdoor venue of 1350 square meters, the space is very limited, equipped with a basic central activity area, art and creative room, library, music room, outdoor venues include two activity fields and a football field, as well as a small vegetable garden, and some of the raw materials of the canteen come from their own vegetable garden.
Full English immersion is one of CKC's major selling points for parents. The kindergarten uses the Journeys series of textbooks, published by Houghton Mifflin in the United States, which is one of the most mainstream and authoritative English textbooks for young children, covering reading comprehension, vocabulary, pronunciation, writing, grammar and other aspects. The teaching of pronunciation mainly relies on the Alphafriends course, which runs through the four years of CKC children's education, and has a positive significance for developing an interest and habit of reading. Of course, CKC has also set up a small number of Chinese courses, and the teaching materials are imported from Xinyi University in Taiwan, which is one of the more comprehensive and vivid early childhood courses from different themes to understand the knowledge, crafts, stories, writing, reading and mathematics of daily life.
CKC has a small scale, with four age classes, namely the Lion Class, the Star Class, the Rainbow Class, and the Eagle Class, and the Lion Class recruits children aged 2-3 years old, which is equivalent to a small class. Each class has about 20 students, equipped with 2 teachers and 1 childcare, respectively, a foreign head teacher, and a Chinese assistant teacher and childcare worker, with a teacher-student ratio of about 1:6.
In every square inch, CKC has built an all-English learning environment for young children, and the curriculum content is mainly in English, so the English proficiency level of children graduating from CKC will be much higher than that of ordinary children. CKC is a good choice for families who plan to take the international education route in the future, with a tuition fee of about 40,000 yuan per semester and a childcare fee of 60 yuan per hour after school.
