Since 1993, Foshan Dongfang has developed and produced wheelchairs and supplies for the elderly, with an annual output of 650,000 wheelchairs and 2 million sets of walking crutches, and is also one of the national standard drafting units for elbow sticks.

While grasping the domestic market, Foshan Oriental is also actively expanding overseas markets. In 1999, it became the first wheelchair manufacturer in China to obtain European CE recognition, and in 2003, it obtained the product registration certification of the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA), successfully opening the door to the European and American markets. After that, it was successively rated as "China Famous Brand Product" and obtained the Japanese SG product safety certification.

Although the certification is not inferior to Hubang, Foshan Dongfang's elbow cane product FS937L was detected as unqualified by the National Rehabilitation Equipment Quality Supervision and Inspection Center in 2014, and the quality control is relatively lacking.

Foshan Oriental's crutch products all start with "FS", and the types are more abundant and complete than those of Hubang. There are very few elbow cane products in Foshan Oriental, and most of the products are four-legged canes. The sponge grip can reduce vibration and impact, the grip is comfortable, and the adjustable length improves the applicability of the crutches. The price does not exceed 100 yuan, which is quite competitive in the low-end market.
