Haoxiang was originally a manufacturer of remote-controlled aircraft for model aircraft enthusiasts, obsessed with the development and production of aircraft, and developed a number of original new products in the model aircraft circle. In 2011, with years of research and technology on rotor, general aviation and aerodynamics, Haoxiang successfully launched the first generation of consumer-grade multi-rotor aircraft in the form of ODM, and in 2014, it launched the second-generation multi-rotor Typhoon Q500 of its own brand. Compared to DJI, Haoxiang seems to have started a little late, but the Typhoon Q500 still occupies a small share in the highly competitive drone market.
Quadcopter UAV family
In 2015, Haoxiang released the UAV Typhoon Q500 4K, a quadcopter drone designed for amateurs. The new version improves the camera function of the Typhoon generation Q500, using a three-axis gimbal camera, which can provide professional images and videos for amateur photographers, and the price is about 5000 yuan. In terms of flight performance, Intelligent Flight includes two unique autonomous modes: "Follow Me" and "Watch Me", which are easy to control, and with a little training, the drone can always be in the pilot's field of view and stay focused, helping beginners.
In 2016, Haoxiang released the drone Qingfeng Breeze, equipped with a 4k camera, priced at about 3000 yuan, light weight, easy to fold, and can be easily loaded into a backpack. In 2018, Haoxiang released the Mantis Q, one of the smaller folding drones on the market, along with competing DJI's Mavic Air, both of which offer excellent image and video quality to the pilot. Mantis Q has a battery life of about 35 minutes, built-in voice control function, can directly "call" the drone, which is not available in other drones, but the drone is noisy when present, the actual experience sensitivity is not high, and the price is about 5000 yuan.
Six-rotor UAV family
In 2016, Haoxiang released the UAV typhoon H, is the first six-rotor consumer UAV on the market, compared with the mainstream quadcopter on the market, if the UAV's motor fails during the flight, the hexagoning redundancy is higher, which can reduce the probability of exploding, the body is made of carbon fiber tubes, the whole is quite solid, and the reliability is high. But the defects are also obvious, the size is not small, basically farewell to the mass consumer market, the power consumption is large, and the battery life does not reach the lowest level of the DJI "Royal" series and "Elf" series.
Typhoon H uses Intel's RealSense chip technology in its obstacle avoidance technology, and is the first aerial photography platform that can plan its own path without site limitations. In 2018, Haoxiang released the drone Typhoon H Plus, which has a larger six-rotor frame than its predecessor, reduces the noise generated by the rotors by 40%, and is able to handle a variety of wind conditions, even in difficult flight conditions. The camera is equipped with a C23 integrated camera plus a one-inch CMOS sensor, which is not only suitable for professional pilots to take aerial photography, but also suitable for precision agriculture or building inspection, and the price is about 14,000 yuan.
The latest generation of the Typhoon H3 hangs a one-inch ION L1 Pro gimbal camera co-produced with Leica, which can rotate 360° to take panoramic pictures and output up to 4K60P100Mbps video. Many thousand-yuan drones can also rotate at a certain angle, but they all have obvious jams, and the effect of the film is far from the same. In order to ensure data security, the Typhoon H3 uses a closed system, the product positioning and configuration are commercial-grade, the price is about 15,000 yuan, and the performance is close to the first generation of the DJI "Enlightenment" series.
