Since the 80s of the last century, Mondague has been funded by the U.S. Department of Defense to provide U.S. paratroopers with large-wheel folding vehicles, which are sturdy enough to meet the airborne and help paratroopers cross complex terrain alone. The design of its folding car is completely based on driving performance as the first premise, and then the folding performance is considered, and it is known as the best performing folding car.
Compared with the mainstream folding method of folding the frame in half, Montague has developed the F.I.T. folding integration system, the front wheel uses a quick-release design, and the rear wheel is folded to the center through the seat tube for the shaft, and the final footprint is reduced by half, and the whole folding process takes about 20 seconds. Although the volume and folding speed are not dominant, the main frame is very strong because of the absence of a folding mechanism, and the manufacturer provides a lifetime warranty service, which shows that it is confident in the sturdiness of the frame.
Full-size tires also bring good performance. Although many folding car manufacturers claim that their small wheels can also achieve a good speed experience, and have come up with a series of theories to confirm, but after all, small wheels have not become the mainstream of high-performance bicycles because of their relatively greater rolling resistance and lower passability.
Montague offers different collections for commuting, mountainous. The commuter car uses a double-beam design with 700C wheels common in road cars, which can achieve high speeds. The bike, on the other hand, is equipped with a suspension fork common to mountain bikes, a stiffer frame, and 26-inch full-size mountain tires. Although the wheel diameter is fixed, the frame size can be selected in yards to suit people of different heights. Its selling price is equivalent to about 10,000 yuan, although it is produced in Taiwan, but it is relatively troublesome to buy in China at present.
