TYR was born in California, USA, and is a world-renowned swimming and triathlon brand. In addition to its long-term cooperation with US Swimming in the United States, it has also established partnerships with British Swimming and the European Swimming Federation (LEN), and became an official partner of the International Swimming Association (ISCA) in 2018.
 
TYR's founder was Steve Furniss, a bronze medalist in the men's 200m medley at the 1972 Olympics and captain of the U.S. men's swimming team at the 1976 Olympics. In the men's 100m backstroke at the London Olympics, American swimmer Matt Gevers won a gold medal and broke the record for the United States in the TYR AP12 swimsuit, and the professionalism and comfort of his swimsuit were unquestionable.
 
TYR swimsuit products are also divided into two series: competitive competition and fitness training, competitive swimwear mostly uses its research and development of Durafast Elite® fabric, which is a blend of 94% polyester and 6% spandex, while fitness training swimwear is mostly made of its research and development of Durafast One® fabric, the fiber composition is 100% polyester. Compared to Durafast One®, Durafast Elite® is more skin-friendly and more body-hugging to reduce water resistance and increase swimming speed. Both have the characteristics of higher polyester strength, comfortable fit and non-fading of swimsuits, chlorine resistance for up to 300 hours, and UPF50 sun protection to meet the needs of indoor and outdoor swimming fitness.
 
Unlike the relatively calm styles of Subitao and Arena, TYR's swimsuit style tends to be lively, and there are many vibrant prints in its collection, and the main colors are also very blue and black, and more bright colors such as red and yellow. Whether it is a competitive or fitness swimsuit, women's swimsuits are mostly designed with one-piece briefs, and there are many split two-piece styles in the fitness category, which is relatively rare in professional swimwear brands. Men's swimwear is divided in the same number of knee-length and briefs, and not as many brands as in the five-point knee-length and boxer shapes.
