The price of ordinary BV/BVR home improvement wire is relatively low, and the wire diameter specification is simple, with only four different nominal sections of 1.5 square, 2.5 square, 4 square and 6 square meters. Its copper core is 99.95% standard purity, the top ten copper enterprises in the country are the top suppliers, the copper quality is good, the color is bright, the insulation material meets the EU RoHS environmental protection standards, and the flame retardant performance is excellent. The insulated wire skin of the upper BV and BVR wire is densely packed, the wire skin is thin, the tightness of the adhesive layer and the core is strong, and it is difficult to strip the wire in the construction of low temperature environment. In terms of price, the ordinary BV/BVR line of the upper cable is positioned at the public, the price of the 100-meter 2.5 square BV line is 188 yuan, and the price of the 100-meter 2.5 square BVR line is 199 yuan, which is a medium and slightly higher level in the market.
 
The mid-range flame retardant BV/BVR line can be divided into two types: ZR-BV/BVR and ZA-BV/BVR, of which ZR-BV/BVR can reach class B flame retardant, while ZA-BV/BVR is claimed to be class A flame retardant. It should be noted that the flame-retardant BV/BVR line of the upper cable does not implement the national standard, that is, the so-called "non-standard line", and is only produced in accordance with the standard of the proposed enterprise. This does not mean that the quality of the flame retardant wire of the upper cable is lacking, but only that the actual cross-sectional area, size and structure of this type of wire and other index parameter requirements may be slightly different from the national standard for wire distribution. Irradiated wire BYJ/BYJR series is a high-end series of upper cables, with complete varieties and models, divided into three types: WDZR, WDZA and WDZRN, and the insulation is made of polyolefin material modified by irradiation cross-linking, which realizes a significant improvement in mechanical properties and material properties. Among them, WDZR-BYJ/BYJR can reach Class B flame retardant, and WDZA-BYJ/BYJR is claimed to be Class A flame retardant; The WDZRN-BYJ//BYJR adds a layer of mica tape between the insulation and the conductor, which has temperature resistance and burn resistance, and can extend the working time of the circuit when the wire is on fire. Like the mid-range flame retardant wire, the irradiation wire of the upper cable is a non-national standard wire, which is lighter in weight than ordinary BV wire and smaller in outer diameter than ordinary BV wire. The price of irradiated wire is higher than that of the same brand BV/BVR line, but the price on the market is in the middle, taking 2.5 square WDZR-BYJ as an example, the unit price of 100 meters is 236 yuan, which is good for flame retardant products.
