Viega may still be a little less famous, but Geberit must have already entered the eyes of many users. At the moment when the drainage of the same floor is gradually emerging, Geberit, the most powerful supplier of drainage solutions on the same floor in China, has to be mentioned.
Geberit was founded in 1874 and has been operating pipes, toilet tanks, drainage systems, and more. For a long time, Geberit was best known for its toilet water parts, and as a supplier of water parts to top brands such as Duravit and Kohler, Geberit was in a very high position in this field. In recent years, with the increasing requirements of domestic users for bathroom space, Geberit's same-floor drainage scheme with wall-hung toilets as the core has suddenly become popular and has become the choice of many avant-garde users.
Floor drains are an indispensable part of building drainage systems, and Geberit has certainly put a lot of thought into it, and in 2015 Geberit launched the Cleanline series, marking it as one of the top players in this field.
The Cleanline is also a very linear strip drain, but slightly wider than the Viega Advantix, so the brushed metal cover is used for a simple and cool style. The cover of the Cleanline is available in two different appearances: Cleanline 20 and Cleanline 60. The former is slightly concave in the middle, while the latter has two strip-shaped sinks on either side of the cover to guide the drainage path. Thanks to its outstanding industrial design, Cleanline won the Reddot award winner in 2015 the year it was launched.
Similar to the Viega, the main part of the base is a trap with a water seal depth of 50mm, and the installation height can be adjusted between 90~200mm. Due to the use of EN standards, the drainage noise of the base is low and the drainage speed is fast, which can reach about 0.8L/s. What is special is that the middle panel of the Cleanline is easy to remove, and under the panel is a comb-shaped screen, which can easily clean the hair that is tangled in daily life. However, due to the need for sufficient embedded thickness of the base, Cleanline is also only suitable for residential buildings with the same floor of the falling plate, and the scope of application is still limited.
In addition to Cleanline, Geberit also has a wall drain based on its own drainage solution on the same floor. Different from the traditional lowering plate with the same layer of drainage, Geberit has a novel idea of the same layer of drainage, and the pipe is made into a false wall.
Unlike Viega's wall drains, Geberit wall drains are located inside the wall and have to be built with false walls, so the space needs to be reserved when designing the bathroom. Shaped like a protruding tile in the corner, the floor drain is available in four different styles of panels, and has a high style without breaking the integrity of the floor. The installation idea of wall drains is similar to that of Geberit wall-hung toilets, and it is a good idea to learn from their relevant experience when installing.
In terms of price, although the Geberit floor drain is not as good as the Viega, it is also quite not cheap. The price of a set of Cleanline in China is 3000~4000 yuan, and the price of overseas shopping is generally 200~300 euros. However, unlike Viega, Geberit has done a good job of localization, launching several ordinary floor drains suitable for drainage units on the same floor, and the price is quite affordable.
What is more special is the Aquorea jellyfish anti-odor floor drain, which is actually the work of Geberit domestic branch, and finally returned to the familiar square shape of domestic users in appearance. Of course, there is a difference between the same floor drainage floor drain and the traditional floor drain, and the main difference is the floor drain base. The base of the Aquorea is relatively simple, and it is a bowl-shaped trap. Due to the size of the trap, the drain drains even slightly faster than the Cleanline series. It is worth mentioning that this floor drain has a dual-channel model, that is, there are pipes in two directions behind the water trap, one of which is connected to the drainage pipe, and the other direction can be connected to other appliances such as basins. The price of Aquorea jellyfish anti-odor floor drain is only more than 200 yuan, which is not far behind compared with ordinary floor drains.
