Founded in 1945 as a manufacturer of auto parts, Bell began to develop racing safety gear after two of its founder's friends died in a racing car accident. Bell has a wide range of helmets, including bicycle helmets, snow helmets, and all sports-related helmets, in addition to motorcycle helmets.

 

Don't assume that Bell's extensive helmet business will reduce its expertise in motorcycle helmets compared to other brands, and in SHARP's crash tests, 8 of Bell's 12 helmets received 5-star ratings. Among the 5-star helmets, the most recommended are M3R, M4R, M4R CARBON, M5X and M5X CARBON, which not only have the advantages of anti-fog and anti-scratch lenses and good ventilation of helmets, but also have very practical lining removal technology, which can be easily replaced and cleaned in the later stage.

 

Users who have high requirements for "lightweight" helmets can choose between the M4R CARBON and M5X CARBON, two full helmets made of carbon fiber shell, which weigh only 1200 grams and are more comfortable to wear. However, the two helmets are also priced at a higher price of £410 and £495 respectively. The M3R, M4R and M5X, on the other hand, are made of composite fibres, and while they are not as heavy as carbon fibre helmets, they are priced at £250 and £300 respectively, making them more cost-effective.

 

The Custom 500 series is Bell's main series of open helmets, although the series has been certified by ECE Europe, but because there is no jaw, the protection of the face is very weak, and it can be said that there is almost no protection. That's why users need to pay special attention to safety when wearing these helmets.
