Critical is a sub-brand of Micron, one of the world's largest manufacturers of semiconductor storage and imaging products. In 2012, Micron acquired Japan's Bida Semiconductor, expanding its market share again. Micron is one of the three giants in the DRAM particle market, ranking third with a market share of 23% in 2017.
Most of today's memory brands are solution integrators, and the brands themselves are only responsible for developing firmware and assembling it themselves. As a Micron sub-brand, Critical uses Micron's original particles for its products, with high chip stability and reliable quality. However, compared with Kingston and Corsair, Micron sells fewer products in China, and consumers have little room to choose.
In July 2018, Fujian Jinhua discovered that more than 10 of Micron's own brand products were suspected of infringing Jinhua's patents and launched a lawsuit against Micron. On July 3, the court ruled that Micron immediately stopped selling and importing more than a dozen Crucial SSDs, memory modules and related chips, and its already small number of products on sale in the Chinese market were cut.
Critical Pacer Tracer is the best high-performance memory selected by Hardinfo and is more targeted at enthusiast users than Primus Sport LT, with a frequency of DDR4 3000. Heatsinks, RGB lighting effects, XMP one-click overclocking, and other functions that flagship enthusiast products have, are also readily available on the Trainder. The 8GB version is priced at 649 yuan, which is not much different from the Corsair RGB PRO of the same level.
Critical Sport LT products are currently common DDR4 2400 frequencies on mainstream platforms, with heatsink and XMP functions, compared with Critical another mass-level DDR4 memory without heatsinks, Critical Sport LT is only 20 yuan higher, the price is 519 yuan, it is worth buying.
Critical only has one DDR4 memory CT8G4SFS824A for laptops, but its price is affordable, with the 8GB version only priced at 499 yuan, which is 40 yuan cheaper than Kingston's Value RAM, which is more cost-effective.
