SD卡推荐系列:N502、Flash Air、N401

Micro SD card recommended series: M501, M303

CF card recommended series: EXCERIA CF

Toshiba Semiconductor is the inventor of flash memory and one of the most profitable businesses of the Toshiba Group. Toshiba is one of the few self-produced pellet manufacturers, and its flash memory chips are widely used by various SSD, USB flash drive, and memory card manufacturers. In the flash memory particle market, Toshiba has a 14% share, second only to Samsung and SanDisk. However, in May 2018, in order to revitalize the group's funds and repay huge debts, Toshiba had no choice but to sell the company's most valuable semiconductor business to the Bain Foundation, and the semiconductor industry bid farewell to the "Japanese era".

Although Toshiba's memory card products are in the second echelon in terms of market share, their overall strength should not be underestimated with their excellent product performance and complete product layout. However, Toshiba memory cards only come with a five-year warranty, which is a gap in after-sales compared to the lifetime warranty of SanDisk and Lexar.

Unlike SanDisk and Lexar, Toshiba's SD cards are named differently from Micro SD cards, with SD card models starting with N and Micro SD cards starting with M. The N502 is Toshiba's flagship SD card offering UHS-II and V90 transmission standards that make it ideal for professional devices, with a maximum read speed of 270MB/s that is slightly lower than that of the SanDisk Extreme Pro. However, in the flagship memory card, the price of N502 is very affordable, 599 yuan for the 64GB version, which is about 200 yuan cheaper than SanDisk Extreme Pro.

Over the years, camera equipment has made great progress in image quality, but in terms of network connection, camera equipment is relatively backward, and many cameras still need to be wired to transmit photos, so WIFI SD cards with wireless transmission function came into being. The WIFI SD card is like a wireless hotspot, which can be connected to smart devices such as mobile phones after plugging in the camera, and transferring photos and videos easily and quickly.

Toshiba's wireless memory card Flash Air is a leader in wireless memory card products, and has gone through four generations of product innovation, and the wireless stability and transmission speed of Flash Air are guaranteed. When connected in the traditional way, the Flash Air's maximum write speed of 70MB/s is basically enough for daily use. The price will also be slightly more expensive, with the 32GB version priced at 199 yuan.

If you don't need wireless function, Toshiba N401 is a good choice, N401 supports U3 transmission standard, the minimum sequential write speed is 30MB/s, and the official advertised maximum sequential read speed is 95MB/s, which is enough to meet the needs of daily shooting. The 64GB version is 229 yuan, and the price is slightly more expensive than the SanDisk Extreme.

Toshiba also has high-performance products in Micro SD card products, M501 supports UHS-II standard, with a maximum sequential read speed of 275MB/s, which is similar to the performance of SanDisk Extreme Pro, but the price is nearly 200 pieces cheaper than SanDisk Extreme Pro with the same capacity. However, compared to SanDisk's lifetime warranty, its 5-year warranty policy is a little shabby. M303 supports the A1 transmission standard and has a maximum read speed of 98MB/s, which is a good choice for mobile phone expansion cards.

TOSHIBA CF CARD EXCERIA CF BELONGS TO THE MASS PRODUCT, SUPPORTS VPG20 TRANSMISSION STANDARD, CAN RECORD 1080P VIDEO SMOOTHLY, ENOUGH FOR DAILY SHOOTING, 64GB VERSION IS PRICED AT 385 YUAN, AND THE 128GB VERSION IS MORE COST-EFFECTIVE, ONLY 619 YUAN.
