How about HGST Yuke HDD brand introduction

HGST was originally Hitachi's hard disk drive business, but it was acquired by Western Digital in 2011 and operated independently and changed its name to HGST. In order to eliminate the monopoly factor, HGST transferred all of its consumer desktop hard drive business to Toshiba. Today, HGST only deals in 2.5-inch notebook hard drives and enterprise hard drives.

HGST is extremely technically strong, and before it was acquired, Hitachi HDDs were technologically ahead of Western Digital. As a result, HGST is now one of the most high-quality assets of Western Digital Group, and HGST management has been able to occupy a majority of the board of directors of Western Digital Group.

For HDDs, expanding capacity has always been the direction of development. In 2012, HGST released a new helium filling technology, which can further reduce the distance between the internal disks of a helium hard disk compared to an air-filled hard disk, and the hard disk capacity will be further increased. As a pioneer of helium hard disks, Yuke has created and maintained a capacity record of 14TB for mechanical hard disks with technological innovation.

While having a large capacity, Yuke's enterprise-class hard drives also have a low failure rate. According to the hard drive reliability report of cloud backup service provider BackBlaze in the second quarter of 2018, the annualized failure rate of several enterprise-class hard drives of Yuke is less than 1%, and the reliability is excellent.

Yuke's consumer-grade hard drives are all 2.5-inch hard drives, and its product line is not as clear as Seagate and Western Digital, but there are certain rules. 5400RPM and 7200RPM HDDs are represented as "5K" and "7K" respectively in the model number, while network-level and surveillance-grade HDDs will be marked as "Enhanced" or "Monitored".

As a consumer-grade hard drive, the 500GB version of the Z7K500 has the same configuration as the 1TB version of the 7K1000, and the enhanced hard drives of both support 24*7 uninterrupted operation, which is suitable for network storage and surveillance systems. The 7200RPM speed is good for a 2.5-inch hard drive. Both series of hard drives support a 3-year warranty for reliable after-sales service.

The 7K6000 has two versions: SATA interface and SAS interface, and users need to choose the hard disk according to the interface supported by the motherboard. The 7K6000 has an average failure interval of 2 million hours, which is on average for enterprise-class hard drives. The price of the 6TB version of the SATA interface is 1699 yuan, and the price of the SAS interface is 1999 yuan.

UltraStar series helium hard drives are Yuke's flagship enterprise-class hard drives, and the helium filling technology enables the hard drives to expand their capacity while also having excellent stability and power consumption. The 2.5 million hours mean time between failures is also the flagship of enterprise-class hard drives. However, the price is higher, the 6TB version is priced at 2699 yuan, and the 10TB version is priced at 5999 yuan.
