How about the NOOK e-book reader brand introduction

推荐型号:GlowLight 3、GlowLight plus

NOOK was launched by Barnes & Noble, an American book sales company. Barnes & Noble is the largest bookstore chain in the United States, with 640 bookstores across the country, but in recent years, its performance has gradually declined due to the impact of e-commerce. In 2011, NOOK once occupied 14% of the e-book reader market, but 2012 was a dark year for e-book readers, affected by the popularization of smartphones, sales fell by 36% compared with the previous year, and NOOK products were also deeply affected, in 2014, Barnes & Noble spun off NOOK into an independent company, and outsourced most of its technical services. Like Kobo, NOOK has not entered the Chinese market, and consumers can try overseas shopping.

After several years of product upgrading, GlowLight 3 and GlowLight plus are the most representative, both of which use 6-inch screens, light and compact, highly portable, and equipped with Android systems.

Priced at $120, the GlowLight 3 is comfortable to grip and, like the Kindle oasis, retains a physical page turn button outside the touchscreen, eliminating the need for users to repeatedly slide their fingers upwards, making it easier to handle in one hand, with a pixel resolution of 300ppi, which is the highest value that can be achieved by current e-book readers, and can clearly display all kinds of text.

The GlowLight 3 is just as powerful, offering two modes, which, like the Kobo Aura one, can be transformed into a softer reading light mode at night, which automatically adjusts the brightness of the backlight and the color temperature, using cool white during the day and a warmer orange backlight at night. Too few supported file formats are also a flaw in GlowLight 3.

The GlowLight plus is cheaper than the GlowLight 3, which is similar in weight, and the GlowLight plus has an aluminum frame and a plastic backplate, which is slightly heavier than the all-plastic Kindle entry-level version. The GlowLight 3 is not waterproof, but waterproofness is one of the great advantages of the GlowLight plus, and although the IPX67 is slightly less waterproof than the Kindle oasis and Kobo Aura one, it is still more reliable and durable than most e-readers.

NOOK's content platform is powerful, and like Kindle and Kobo, its official bookstore can provide millions of e-book resources to support hardware devices, but there is still a big gap compared to Amazon Books, and there are also some inconveniences in file transfer.
