在众多的earphone品牌中，来自Denmark的B&O肯定是最懂得设计的一个。上至音响下至earphone，只要是出自B&O之手，设计感就一定不俗，富有艺术气息，它的不少产品还被纳入纽约当代艺术博物馆，成为现代工业设计史上的重要一员。
 
在earphone圈子里，发烧友们常把Beats、BOSE和B&O视为“不务正业”的三个非主流，统称为“earphone界的3B”，原因是他们并不像传统厂商一样专注于提升音质，在声学上下功夫，而是另辟蹊径，从另一个角度开发市场：Beats主打的是流行时尚，通过大量广告和代言提升知名度，让戴Beatsearphone这种行为成为潮流的象征。BOSE主打的是音效和降噪，从零开始开创了Active noise cancelling headphones领域，而B&O主打工业设计，以扎实用料和做工、优秀的颜值收获了大量粉丝。
 
其实“3B”这个说法并不完全正确，因为在音响领域，B&O是绝对的HiFi级别，顶级产品的水平远超BOSE，更不用说Beats了，只是因为B&O部分入门级产品定价过高，加上音质与同价位earphone有不少差距，所以才引来吐槽罢了。
