Founded in 2003, MIO is a subsidiary of MIO, with the brand spirit of "Explore More", focusing on the development of advanced personal satellite navigation products, and constantly exploring new technologies and applications to further help people enjoy the fun of exploring the world around them!

In 2003, Mio Dentsu released the Mio DigiWalker 168, the world's first PDA to incorporate GPS technology into a personal handheld device. In 2004, after the MIO brand was launched in Europe, it immediately expanded to Australia, Japan and the United States, and quickly occupied the market. In 2005, Mio Dentsu continued its efforts with the development of the Mio DigiWalker 269, a hardware-integrated global satellite navigation device. In July 2008, it officially became the senior sponsor of navigation equipment for the 2010 Shanghai World Expo in China, and MIO's products became the only designated navigation equipment for the Shanghai World Expo.

MiTAC has R&D centers in Shanghai and Chengdu, as well as a production base in Kunshan, Jiangsu Province. At the same time, it has branches in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Shenyang and other places. MiTAC products have been certified by TS 16949 standard, and the customer service center has also obtained a number of authoritative industry certifications such as CCCS standard five-star certification.

2006

Mio DigiWalker becomes the No. 1 brand in the GPS market for handheld computers (Canalys).

Mio DigiWalker became the third largest portable GPS brand in EMEA (Canalys).

Mio DigiWalker's market share in North America grew rapidly to 6%.

MiTAC is the world's third-largest PDA manufacturer.

2007

MiTAC Customer Service Center passed the CCCS standard and was promoted to a five-star certified enterprise.

International movie star Maggie Q became the brand ambassador of Mio DigiWalker in China.

2008

MiTAC officially became the senior sponsor of navigation equipment for the 2010 Shanghai World Expo in China, and MIO's products became the only designated navigation equipment for the Shanghai World Expo.

MIO unveiled a new brand identity at CES in the United States, with the brand spirit of "Explore More".

CCID Consulting's 2007 market statistics show that MIO ranked first in China's PND market share in 2007, with a market share of 9.9%.
