Elf's history dates back to the discovery of the Saint Marcet oil field in France on July 14, 1939. In 1995, Elf entered China.
In 1997, Elf established the first national Class A oil blending plant in South China and has its own wharf, a 128-meter-long dedicated wharf that can berth 5,000-ton ships.
In 2012, Elf China added a new filling line and other equipment.
From 2013 to 2014, Elf China will carry out a large-scale expansion of the factory to meet the needs of business development.
Elf's manufacturing facilities in China are ISO 9001 certified, ISO 14001 EMS, OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health & Safety (EAS) certified, and ISO/TS 16949 certified. The standard was jointly drafted by the automobile industry departments of the United States, Germany, France and Italy, and meets the most stringent quality requirements of the three major automobile factories in the United States and the seven major automobile factories in Europe.
