Founded in 1951 as Japan's first manufacturer of miniature and small-bore ball bearings, Minebea Group has gradually expanded into the fields of machining and electronic equipment processing.
Since 1973, when the Group began full-scale production and business activities outside of Japan in Singapore, the Group has been expanding its production base mainly in Asia. Today, after 60 years of establishment, the group company has developed into a multinational group company integrating R&D, production, sales and after-sales service with 32 production bases, 39 sales bases, 17 R&D bases and a total of 55,000 employees in 18 countries around the world.
The Minebea Group is a leader in the world's largest market share in the fields of miniature ball bearings with an outer diameter of 22 mm or less, rod end bearings and spherical bearings in aircraft. In addition, the Minebea Group's high-precision, high-quality precision parts such as permanent magnet motors, axial fan motors, stepper motors, and other small and micro motors for hard disk drives, as well as gauges and LED backlight panels, are sold all over the world.
Minebea Group's business in China
In 1994, Minebea Group established Shanghai Minebea Precision Electromechanical Co., Ltd. on the shore of the beautiful Dianshan Lake in Qingpu District, Shanghai. Shanghai Minebea's main products are miniature and small-diameter ball bearings, axial fan motors, etc. The Shanghai plant is the 10th ball bearing plant established by Minebea Group in the world, and it is also the largest integrated production plant for miniature and small-bore ball bearings in the group. In addition to the production of axial fan motors, the Xizen plant has increased the production of gauges and other products since 2001. To date, Shanghai Minebea has grown into a Japanese-owned company with approximately 5,100 employees.
In 2010, Minebea Group acquired Zhuhai Minebea Precision Motor Co., Ltd., which produces DC brush motors, vibration motors and other products, and Dongguan Chengcheng First Precision Industrial Mould Co., Ltd., which produces precision metal molds, and in 2011, it invested in Minebea Electronic Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., which produces LED backlight panels.
In addition to the above-mentioned production bases, the Minebea Group has opened sales bases in Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong since 2002 (established in 1983). In 2010, it opened sales bases in Dalian, Beijing, Wuhu, and in 2011, it opened sales bases in Chengdu, Wuhan, Xi'an and other places. Up to now, the sales team of about 200 people has provided meticulous service to customers.
