In 1936, Caltex was formed by the world's two largest oil companies, Chevron and Texaco. Today, it has grown into a leading oil company with refining facilities and offices in more than 60 countries across Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Africa.

Caltex's business in Hong Kong is mainly engaged in the marketing of petroleum products, including petrol stations, lubricants, industrial and commercial sales and trading businesses, etc. In addition, Caltex has an oil depot for the storage and distribution of various petroleum products.

In the early 90s, Caltex launched the "Customer First" performance pledge. As the name suggests, it is to fully meet the needs of customers and encourage the company to work together to ensure that it can provide high-quality products and services in an all-round way.

In 2000, Caltex established a new brand identity and reinvigorated the quality of its products and services in order to create a new milestone and become closer to its customers.

In 2002, Caltex made another breakthrough by launching our first-ever global advertising campaign with the core idea of "Ideal Driving Force", connecting all products and services around the world. This move represents Caltex's understanding and care for customers, and it also shows our determination to strive for progress and help you move forward! Over the years, Caltex has been awarded a number of ISO 9000 international quality certificates; This is a testament to Caltex's expertise, administration and procedures, as well as to the international recognition of our services. The company's retail business, as well as petrol stations, tank depot operations and lubricant blending plants, have all been awarded ISO 9002 certificates, and the quality is unquestionable.

Caltex is committed to ensuring that its services and products meet internationally recognised standards of health, environmental protection and safety. We will implement this goal from the business planning, development and operation levels, as well as the management system, training, exercise and audit system. Caltex has state-of-the-art facilities to prevent pollution, minimise waste and spare no effort to protect natural resources and the environment. Caltex's commitment to environmental protection extends to the general public. In 1991, we established the Caltex Environmental Fund, which annually allocates a portion of the proceeds from the sale of unleaded petrol to the ECF to support green groups, schools, societies and the general public in organising environmental protection activities. Since its establishment, Caltex has donated more than HK$8 million and has funded more than 160 projects.

In October 2001, following the successful merger of Chevron and Texaco, Caltex became a member of the Chevron Texaco Group, establishing its international position more steadily. In order to match the name of our parent company, Chevron Texaco Corporation was changed to Chevron Corporation, and in October 2005, Caltex Hong Kong Limited was officially renamed as Chevron Hong Kong Limited.

In 2011, Caltex set a new brand goal as the times changed. We understand that for many people, driving can be a chore, and the road is narrow and the car is stressful.
