Novida was first founded in 1984 as a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., Haniljeu Electronics Co., Ltd., and has kept pace with the changing style of life in Korea.

As an advocate of healthy living, Novita began to independently develop smart toilet covers in 1996, showcasing Korea's advanced water rapid heating technology, metal stainless steel nozzles, ionic water purification filters, etc. In 2003, the export business began, and the products sell well in Japan, the United States, Canada, Russia, Taiwan, Europe and other places. In 2014, at the 51st "Trade Day" commemoration ceremony in South Korea, the Korean government awarded the "Export Tower Award" to Novida in recognition of its outstanding export achievements and contributions to the national economy.

In December 2011, Novida joined Kohler, a global kitchen and bath group, as its Asia-Pacific subsidiary, and successfully entered the Chinese market. The smart toilet covers sold by Novida in China are all imported from South Korea, and have obtained the CQC certification issued by the China Quality Certification Center, which stands out among many smart toilet cover products and becomes a high-quality choice for Chinese families to live a comfortable and healthy life.
