Bosch Power Tools (China) Co., Ltd. was founded in 1995 and is headquartered in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, as a joint venture between Bosch and Hangzhou Turbine Power Group Co., Ltd. and its Chinese sales partner, Melchers (Bremen). In 2003, Bosch purchased the shares of its joint venture partner, Hangzhou Turbine Power Group, and became a wholly foreign-owned enterprise. In December of the same year, the company officially changed its name to Bosch Power Tools (China) Co., Ltd. In order to further increase production capacity, the new company moved to a new site, located on the south bank of the beautiful Qiantang River - Hangzhou National High-tech Industrial Development Zone. In January 2006, Bosch Power Tools (China) Co., Ltd. established its own sales, marketing and after-sales service team.
Today, Bosch Power Tools (China) Co., Ltd. covers an area of 140,000 square meters, including three factories of Bosch, Century and Accessories, as well as an office in Hangzhou with a sales center in China, an Asia-Pacific R&D center, an Asia-Pacific logistics center, an Asia-Pacific product training center, a global procurement center, and a quality center.
