Zippo has launched new flagship product lines such as ZippoMPL®, Multi-Purpose Lighters, Refillable Butane Practical Lighters, and more. Since then, several new products have been added to the multi-purpose lighter line. In the autumn of 2002, Zippo acquired the right to register the trademark in the shape of a Zippo lighter. This is a major milestone in Zippo's efforts to protect its brand from counterfeiting.
In 2006, since Mr. Blaisdale handcrafted the first lighter in 1933, Zippo lighter production has surpassed the 425 million mark. Zippo lighters are deeply rooted in American and world culture. From a marketing point of view, the awareness rate of the Zippo brand is as high as 98% on its own. This means that 98 out of every 100 people surveyed know about the Zippo brand and Zippo lighters without any reminder – a truly shocking level of awareness.

Today, while the vast majority of products are disposable or offer only a limited warranty, Zippo lighters rely on the company's famous lifetime warranty policy, which is based on the philosophy of "if it doesn't work, we fix it for free." In the nearly 80 years since the Zippo lighter was born, no one has spent a penny to repair the mechanical parts of the Zippo lighter, regardless of how old the lighter has been or how it has been used.
