Roca brand introduction

Roca logo

Founded in Spain in 1917, it started with the manufacture of cast iron radiators for home heating, and entered the field of sanitary ware in 1929, and has now become a multinational group company mainly engaged in the production and sales of high-end sanitary ware

Roca started as a factory in Gava, near Barcelona, that manufactures cast iron radiators for home heating. Subsequently, the company expanded its business range to include the production of boiler products. Roca began producing bathtubs in 1929 and entered the field of bathroom manufacturing.

Water is an important natural resource related to Roca's business, and the company has always paid attention to the development and utilization of water resources. The company began producing ceramic bathroom equipment in 1936. After this, Roca began producing bronze ware in 1954.

In the 90s, the group began to expand globally, mainly through the establishment of business branches and cooperation agreements with well-known local brands. In addition to Portugal and France, Roca began to spread throughout the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Russia, Morocco, Argentina, Brazil and China.

The turning point in the company's internationalization came in 1999, when it acquired the Swiss company Coramie Klaufen Holding S.p.A., which at the time was the fourth largest manufacturer in the world. The acquisition of LAUFEN strengthens the Group's position in previously less influential strategic markets such as Eastern Europe, Brazil and the United States.

In 2005, Roca announced its ambitious strategic plan to focus on the bathroom space, which will establish a strategic position in 2006. ROCA manufactures and sells high-end sanitary ware, including ceramic tiles, heating systems and air conditioning industries.

Roca products entered the Chinese market in the early 80s, first invested in China in 1999, and currently has a production center in Nanhai, Guangdong Province and Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province.

Today, Roca has a global network of 76 manufacturing plants in 135 countries and employs more than 20,000 people worldwide.
