Introducing the Zespri brand

Zespri logo

Zespri Fruit (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., Zespri, founded in New Zealand in 1996, is a world-renowned New Zealand kiwifruit brand and the world's largest kiwifruit exporter

New Zealand kiwifruit has built a reputation for its exhilarating aroma, sweetness, flavour and quality, and in 1996 the New Zealand kiwifruit industry decided to create its own brand for its own fruit, allowing the world to choose the most curious kiwifruit under this brand name.

The idea was that the new brand had to have something meaning, not only in words, but also in a way that people could quickly reminisce about the quality kiwifruit that would bring life to everyday life.

Many people interviewed told the pollsters that for them, kiwifruit represents "vitality, energy, health, nutrition, jubilation, excitement, life, fun and energy." "Ugly on the outside, it tastes wonderful", "activates the senses, like a combination of beauty and beast, and attractive both physically and spiritually". One Japanese consumer said, "It's like taking a shower, and the body is refreshed and the spirit is uplifted."

The message has to capture the spirit of the word in it, so it has to be an attractive word without any negative connotations, it has to be a prominent word that depicts the essence of New Zealand kiwifruit, and it can be a trademark for the marketing world.

So, through the permutations and combinations of computers, a new name was created! All the required forms and meanings were entered into the program, and the new word Zespri® was born like a newborn baby.

Many people think that Zespri is an abbreviation created by the prefix of many words, but it is not. The brand that identifies the world's finest kiwifruit is computer-generated!In short, Zespri New Zealand Kiwifruit energizes your life!
