Guangzhou Baiyunshan Jingxiutang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. is one of the major Chinese patent medicine manufacturers under Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd. and Guangzhou Baiyunshan Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd. (listed on Hong Kong H-share and Shanghai A-share). The company was founded in 1790 (the 55th year of Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty), in 1956 the public-private joint venture as "Guangzhou Jingxiutang United Pharmaceutical Factory", in December 1992 restructured into a limited liability company, is the first batch of state-owned industrial enterprises in Guangzhou to transform the system. In May 2012, in accordance with the requirements of the integrated development strategy of Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Group, the company changed its name from "Guangzhou Jingxiutang (Pharmaceutical) Co., Ltd." to "Guangzhou Baiyunshan Jingxiutang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd."
