After nearly 70 years of hard work, Danfoss has grown from a small company of less than 10 people to the largest Danish industrial group, with 20,000 employees on four continents, state-of-the-art factory equipment, subsidiaries and representative offices in more than 100 countries, and an annual turnover of nearly $3 billion. Danfoss in China

Danfoss entered China in 1994, and today, Danfoss China has more than 1,800 employees in factories, sales companies and representative offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Guangzhou, Shenyang, Chengdu, Qingdao, Anshan and Hong Kong, actively providing good products and technical services for the domestic refrigeration, heating and transmission control fields.
In May 1994, the establishment of Danfoss Hong Kong Limited opened the prelude to Danfoss' entry into China. In October of the same year, the Beijing office was established.

In 1995, Danfoss (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. was officially registered in Tianjin Wuqing Development Zone, and started production the following year.

On June 8, 2006, Danfoss celebrated its 10th anniversary in China at its Wuqing plant in Tianjin. From a sales office of less than 10 people to a large company with 2,500 employees, 10 sales offices, 5 wholly-owned factories and 1 joint venture factory, Danfoss has experienced rapid growth with the Chinese economy for more than 10 years and will unswervingly deliver on its commitment to turning China into a "second home market".

On November 1, 2005, Danfoss acquired Haili and changed its name to Zhejiang Hailipu Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. Founded in 2001, the original Haili Company is located in Haiyan Economic Development Zone, Zhejiang Province, 100 kilometers away from Shanghai. Hilip has obtained ISO9002 quality certification and is one of the largest manufacturers in China's inverter market, with a mature sales network throughout China. The inverters produced by Hailipu Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. will also be sold in China under the Hailipu brand and the existing sales network.

On September 1, 2006, Danfoss entered into an acquisition agreement with Chin Bao to purchase its plate heat exchanger assets and business. Founded in 1993 and located in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, Chin Bao currently employs 120 people engaged in the development, production and sales of brazed plate heat exchangers. The new company, which will be known as Danfoss Qinbao (Hangzhou) Heat Exchanger Co., Ltd., will be part of Danfoss Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.

Danfoss acquires the remaining shares of Anshan Danzhong Control Valve Co., Ltd. (ASDC), making it a wholly owned Danfoss company. ASDC manufactures district heating control products primarily for the Chinese market. In 2003, Danfoss purchased a 75% stake in Anshan Danzhong Control Valve Co., Ltd. to establish a joint venture, and the agreement signed this time buys the remaining 25% of the shares.
