1905 The company Bitumenwerke is founded in Datteln. The patented product produced by the plant is an asphalt emulsion for waterproofing cellars, which gradually became the basis of an internationally successful brand: Celit.
1907 Moved to Unna and the company name is changed to Wunnersche Bitumenwerke.
1908 Celit's invention - a sealant without asphalt additives for the production of waterproof cement mortar.
