Since investing in China in 1998, UPM has grown rapidly in China, investing more than US$2 billion in Changshu Economic Development Zone, Jiangsu Province, and has established a paper mill and self-adhesive label factory, as well as an Asian R&D center.
UPM (China) is Finland's largest single investment in China and one of the largest manufacturers of all-chemical wood pulp offset and copy paper in China, with an annual production capacity of 1.4 million tonnes for printing paper, office paper, specialty paper and label materials.
