China Music Corporation (CMC) and Tencent Group (00700) jointly announced on July 15, 2016 that they have reached a consensus to merge their digital music business.
In this transaction, Tencent merged its QQ Music business with CMC, becoming the majority shareholder of the new music group through asset swaps, and will fully support its business development and lay the foundation stone for the listing.
