Jiayuan, China's leading dating platform, was founded in Shanghai, China on October 8, 2003. Since its establishment, Jiayuan has been committed to providing users with a full range of online dating services. In 2007, it began to explore the user-side charging model, and achieved profitability in 2008. On May 11, 2011, Jiayuan landed on the NASDAQ stock market in the United States, becoming the first listed online dating platform in China. Jiayuan continues to be a leader in the industry, accounting for 76% of the user's browsing time share of online dating and 26.7% of the market share. Since 2013, Jiayuan has vigorously promoted the transfer of the company's main business from PC to mobile, and carried out a multi-brand strategic layout on the mobile side, successively launched mobile products such as courtship network and dating, and accelerated the layout of mobile terminal in 2014. In 2015December 7, Jiayuan, operator of online dating platform (NASDAQ: DATE)Announced that it has entered into a merger agreement with LoveWorld Inc. and its wholly owned subsidiary, FutureWorld Inc., which are indirect wholly-owned subsidiaries of Baihe.com. Upon completion of the merger, Mr. Wu Linguang, Director and Chief Executive Officer of Jiayuan, will serve as the co-chairman and co-chief executive officer of the surviving company, and Baihe will also start the process of changing the company's name.
