On May 22, 2015, Tsinghua Unigroup Co., Ltd. announced that it would raise funds through a non-public offering to purchase 51% of the equity of H3C Communications Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Hong Kong H3C") held by H3C Holdings Ltd, a holding subsidiary of Hewlett-Packard Company, and the transaction price will not be less than 2.3 billion US dollars. Hong Kong H3C mainly holds 100% of the equity of Hangzhou H3C Communication Technology Co., Ltd. (H3C). The subject of this transaction, "H3C", includes the existing business of H3C in Hong Kong and the business and assets of HP server and storage product sales and related technical services in China that it will undertake.
