Kodak brand introduction

Kodak logo

Founded in 1880 in the United States, it is the world's largest manufacturer and supplier of imaging products and related services, and is a world leader in the field of image shooting, sharing, output and display

In 1888, with the slogan "You press a button, we'll do the rest," George Eastman brought the first simple camera to consumers. Since then, he has made the cumbersome and complex process of photography easy to use, and almost anyone can do it.

Since then, Eastman Kodak has embarked on a journey to develop new products and make photography simpler, more useful, and more fun. In fact, Kodak is now known not only for photography, but also for images used in a variety of leisure, commercial, entertainment and scientific applications. Increasingly, its scope involves the use of technology to combine images with information – setting the stage for far-reaching changes in the way people and companies communicate.

Just as Eastman has made photography "as easy as a pencil," Kodak has insisted on bringing images into people's daily lives. As one of the leading major multinational companies, the company's brand has spread to almost every corner of the world.

Headquartered in Rochester, New York, USA, Eastman Kodak Company (hereinafter referred to as Kodak Company) is the world's largest manufacturer and supplier of imaging products and related services, and is a publicly traded company listed on the New York Stock Exchange, with operations in more than 150 countries and territories and approximately 80,000 employees worldwide.

For more than 100 years, Eastman Kodak has been a world leader in capturing, sharing, exporting and displaying images, helping countless people retain memories, exchange important information and have fun. But with the rise of digital technology, Kodak filed for bankruptcy protection on January 19, 2012.

Kodak was created, in the early stages of R&D, mainly sensitive technologies and products, followed by the development of new technologies, products and services to meet the rapidly growing market demand. Today, Kodak Corporation is transforming to:

Kodak: Innovation in Commercial Imaging

Kodak has transformed into a technology company with a focus on commercial imaging. Kodak Today:

At the same time, our quality improvement programs help our clients in the graphic arts and entertainment sectors build successful businesses.

Kodak Transformation

After a 20-month Chapter 11 restructuring, Kodak has successfully shifted its focus to the commercial market. As a result of the reorganization, Kodak eliminated legacy costs, simplified complex architectures, and exited or spun off a portion of its business, including the remaining consumer imaging and document imaging businesses, which are no longer our core businesses going forward.

People around the world will continue to engage with the Kodak brand, for example through Kodak's commercial operations, or through licensing to specific business partners. As a result of the restructuring, Kodak is now a lean, financially strong company and is well positioned for rapid growth – we will capture the significant opportunities of digital transformation in the packaging market; Capitalize on the growing demand for graphic imaging products and services in emerging markets; and opportunities for printed electronics, sensors, fuel cells, and other functional printed products to expand the business beyond visual communication.

Based on a rich technological heritage

Kodak is well known for its important role in photography, but as early as the early 1990s, Kodak provided imaging services to a wide range of industries. Kodak's current product portfolio is based on years of expertise in materials science, deposition science (e.g., precise deposition of a thin layer of coating on substrates or substrates), and digital imaging science.

With this expertise, Kodak invented the first film; The first electronic color separation scanner to prepare images for printing; the first camera to fly to the moon; and the first digital camera. Now we offer leading solutions for today's commercial customers, including:

A digital printing press capable of printing 260 pages of fiction in 2.25 seconds

Flexo printing system makes the packaging more beautiful and item, and catches the attention of consumers
