TDK is a well-known brand in the electronics industry and has always held a leading position in electronic raw materials and components. TDK's founders, Dr. Yogoro Kato and Dr. Takeryo Takei, invented ferrite in Tokyo, and in 1935 founded Tokyo Dengikagaku Kogyo K.K., the predecessor of which was the Department of Electrochemistry at Tokyo Institute of Technology. In 1983, the company changed its name to the current TDK Corporation, taking the initials of its original name, Tokyo, Denki, and Kagaku, and began the commercial development and operation of this magnetic material.
TDK's emblem was designed by Mr. Yusaku Onikura, who is known for his design of posters for the Tokyo Olympics. The meaning of the badge is "to represent electronic computers and magnetic materials in geometric shapes, and in the electronics industry, to connect them from point to point".
As a world-renowned brand in the electronics industry, TDK has always held a leading position in electronic raw materials and components. Its products are widely used in information, communications, household appliances and consumer electronics, such as mobile phones, notebook computers, DVD/HDD recorders, flat panel displays, automobiles and their navigation systems. Founded in 1935, TDK established a joint venture in Taiwan in the 60s and later set up a sales network and production lines in Hong Kong. Since the 80s, TDK has officially set foot in Chinese mainland, and for more than 20 years, it has established production bases in East China, South China and North China, and expanded its business to the whole country.

1968 — Taiwan TEC Chemical Co., Ltd. was established.
1974 —Hong Kong Dongdian Chemical Co., Ltd. was established in Hong Kong.
1986 — Successfully acquired Hong Kong ST Industrial Co., Ltd., which was established in October 1980 and manufactures hard disk heads.
1992 —TDK Dalian Electronics Co., Ltd. is established in Dalian, China, for the production of magnetic rings.
1994 —Xiamen TDK Co., Ltd. is established in Xiamen Special Economic Zone, Fujian Province, China.
1996 —Qingdao Tidikai Electronics Co., Ltd. was formally established in Qingdao, Shandong Province. TEPHUA (Tianjin) International Trade Co., Ltd. was formally established in Tianjin.
1997 —TEC Chemical (Shanghai) International Trading Co., Ltd. was established in Shanghai.
2001 — TDK (Suzhou) Electronics Co., Ltd., located in Suzhou Industrial Park, Jiangsu Province, was established to produce multilayer ceramic chip capacitors. Set up a processing plant in Dongguan - Dongguan Changan South China Electronics Factory.
2004 - TEC Chemical (China) Investment Co., Ltd. was established in Shanghai as TDK's China headquarters.
2005 — Successfully acquired New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., which was established in 1999, mainly manufacturing polymer lithium-ion battery cells suitable for OME customers.
2007 —TEPC (China) Investment Co., Ltd. Beijing Branch was officially established in Beijing. Dongdian Chemical (China) Investment Co., Ltd. Shenzhen Branch was officially established in Shenzhen. Dongdian Chemical (China) Investment Co., Ltd. Shenzhen Branch was officially established in Shenzhen. The Guangzhou branch of Dongdian Chemical (China) Investment Co., Ltd. was officially established in Guangzhou.
2008 —Dongdian Chemical (Shanghai) International Trade Co., Ltd. Suzhou Branch was officially established in Suzhou. TEDIAN Chemical (Tianjin) International Trade Co., Ltd. Qingdao Branch was formally established in Qingdao.
