Fujitsu Kabushiki-gaisha is a Japanese company specializing in the manufacture of semiconductors, computers (supercomputers, PCs, servers), communication devices and services, headquartered in Tokyo. In 1935, Fujitsu Electronics Manufacturing Co., Ltd. was founded, and in 1954, Fujitsu developed Japan's first computer, the FACOM 100, and in 1967, the company's name was officially changed to the abbreviation Fujitsū. Today, Fujitsu employs approximately 158,000 people and 500 employees in its subsidiaries, resuming its active relationship with Siemens in the form of a joint venture with Fujitsu Siemens (established in 1999), which is half controlled by Fujitsu and Siemens, Europe's largest IT provider.
