On July 21, 2009, SanDisk® announced that its products sold in China are fully designed with high-grade packaging to highlight their product characteristics and make it easier for consumers to identify and understand product appeals. At the same time as changing the packaging, SanDisk also specified a Chinese name for use in China and other Chinese markets - "SanDisk".
