In 1999, Toshiba Corporation's Air Conditioning Equipment Division was spun off and merged with Carrier Corporation of the United States to form Toshiba Carrier Corporation, a world-renowned comprehensive motor manufacturer
In April 1999, Toshiba Co., Ltd. spun off its air-conditioning equipment business and merged with Carrier, the world's largest air-conditioning manufacturer, to form a new company: Toshiba Carrier Corporation (in which Toshiba holds 60% of the shares). Toshiba has advanced technology in refrigerant system air conditioning, while Carrier has a strong advantage in water system air conditioning equipment and refrigeration. Toshiba Carrier Corporation has demonstrated its strength since its inception by combining the strengths of the two groups in product development, production, and sales networks on a global scale. In order to meet the needs of consumers in China and around the world, we are enriching our product range and providing advanced technology services to improve our competitiveness and expand our business scope. At the same time, we are promoting environmental protection through the use of energy-saving technologies and new refrigerants.
In 2003, Toshiba air conditioners entered China, bringing safer, more reliable, energy-saving and comfortable air conditioning products to Chinese users. With the vigorous development of Toshiba Air Conditioners in China, Toshiba Carrier Corporation established a subsidiary in China, Toshiba Carrier Air Conditioning Sales (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., in October 2006 to promote the sustainable development of Toshiba Air Conditioners in China.
Toshiba Carrier Air Conditioning Sales (Shanghai) Co., LtdFounded in 2006, it is committed to promoting the sustainable development of Toshiba brand air conditioners in China. Although our company in China is still very young, Toshiba has more than 70 years of air conditioning history. In the history of Toshiba air conditioners, there are many world firsts and Japanese firsts. In 1980, Toshiba developed the world's first inverter air conditioner. Inverter technology is the core technology of air conditioning energy-saving, and Toshiba has always been in the leading position in inverter technology. In 1998, Toshiba developed Japan's first environmentally leading refrigerant R410A air conditioner, which does not deplete the ozone layer and has higher refrigeration efficiency than traditional refrigerants. Now, all the products we sell in China are inverter air conditioners with R410a refrigerant. In China, Toshiba inverter air conditioners are more and more recognized by Chinese users and applied to many famous projects.
